Japan Earthquake shifts ocean floor

Stacey just sent me this link to the BBC article which describes how the recent 9.0 earthquake in Japan did some major shifting to the ocean floor along the fault line.

“The scale is almost double that estimated only from the terrestrial data,” the coast guard’s Dr Mariko Sato told BBC News.

Some very interesting information that will further focus efforts into predicting plate shifting and give more warning of possible tsunami dangers. The full article can be read here.
